Warning: Spoilers
Rab has taken a keen interest in gardening and has acquired himself a spot on a local allotment. Mary feels unfulfilled romantically since Rab has taken up his new hobby and has taken up with an old flame called Frankie Brammer, a local gangster who still carries a torch for Mary and whom Jamesie is working for as a getaway driver.

Determined to win Mary back, Rab reluctantly takes on a job robbing a garden centre with Jamesie for Frankie. However, Rab is almost gunned down by the assistant ( who is in on the scam ). Surviving the ordeal, Rab wins his wife back and plots a cunning revenge on Brammer.

Clive Russell brings this hilarious episode to life as Brammer. Gregor Fisher ironically in real life is a keen gardener, which goes some way to explaining Rab's enthusiasm for the hobby. The scene in which Rab and Jamesie attempt to rob the garden centre, complete with stockings over their heads, is a moment of comedic brilliance. Tony Roper in particular steals the scene.

Funniest bit - Rab knocking the would-be gunman out cold by breaking a glass bottle over his head. Jamesie goes into such a state of shock he ends up wetting himself. ''I think I'm having an accident!'' squeals Jamesie.
