Stanley's pet bird Oscar has died and is being buried. Jeffrey comically misunderstands that it is Stanley instead. Anne is sorting through clothes for a rummage sale to raise money for their church, St. Filbert's. Helen volunteers for her and Stanley to give, as a way to join the congregation and meet new people. Reverend Harper (Edward Grover) comes to collect the donations. Stanley gives the reverend Oscar in his tiny coffin to "slip in" the next funeral. Jenny finds what she thinks are gardening magazines of Stanley's and donates them. Underneath the top with Helen's name, however, were obscene dirty magazines. Jeffrey discovers them just as the rummage sale is set to open and tries to hide them. Reverend Harper picks up a gardening magazine, unknown to Jeffrey, and hilariously remarks "I didn't know they grew this big" to Jeffrey's brief shock. The reverend talks to Helen about the magazines (still referring to the gardening ones) leading to some hilarious banter- "you'd be surprised what I do out behind the church". The whereabouts of the dirty magazines are in question, but it's what Jenny brings that's most meaningful to Stanley.
