Give an antacid and get arrested for attempted murder
blanche-224 January 2016
The Snoop Sisters are at it again. This time, Gwendolyn (Mildred Natwick) gives a basketball player with stomach problems an antacid, only to have him collapse from poisoning.

Ernesta (Helen Hayes) and Gwendolyn soon learn that there are reasons for someone to get this star player (Bernie Casey) benched, and someone is looking to frame poor Gwendolyn. As usual, the sisters drive their police lieutenant nephew (Bert Convy) crazy, and make their parolee driver (Lou Antonio) do things he doesn't want to do.

There is, as usual, an impressive cast that includes Walter Pidgeon, Maurice Evans, and Steve Allen.

There are many '70s New York exterior shots, which are fun to see, and it's also amusing to see how everyone drove these huge cars.

Hayes and Natwick made a delightful team. I'm just sorry there aren't more of these enjoyable episodes. There might have been more of an audience for it ten years later, but of course, with different 'Snoops.'
