Toby is one of those awkward students who stands out in the crowd for the wrong reasons. His grade point average shows him as lackadaisical at best except in math where he is a real genius. This is one of those cases where someone does the "wrong" thing for the "right" reason. The young prodigy finds a way to tap into the schools computer and get needed supplies from the board of education such as refrigerators and band uniforms. Lucky for him Mister Kaufman and the board are so understanding and just have him as punishment demonstrate how he did it. The "Alice Johnson" subplot involves Bernie being a little (*&*^ and having the students give her a low grade on the teacher eval as a joke. Take that boy to the wood shed!

Toby, a klutzy student excels at math and cracks a computer code.
A funny episode that goes mostly for comedy. Toby is played by Jim Wakefield, his third appearance on the show, all in different but always memorable roles. He hacks the computer and gets many school supplies Mr Kaufman has been ordering for months. A subplot has students evaluating teachers, as a joke Bernie gets the class to give Miss Johnson a low grade.
