- After a young boy claims molestation, the investigation turns from his pedophile father to another family member.
- SVU gets word that young Jake Winnock has been molested. Jake's mother blames her ex-husband, a convicted pedophile, who also molested their elder son Teddy. Elliott Stabler and Fin Tutuola interrogate the ex-husband, but their questioning ultimately gets nowhere, and they get more bizarre news when Melinda Warner examines Jake. He was molested - but by his brother Teddy.
Elliott and Fin visit Teddy's high school and find an area near its theatrical area plastered with sexual photos of Teddy Winnock. They then overhear a brawl between Teddy and two other students. They break up the fight and Elliott questions Teddy, who isn't cooperative and whines about being abused by his father - but with a curious hint of insincerity. Fin meanwhile questions the other student, who reveals that he found the images on a website Teddy runs - Teddy's Treehouse. The website is basically a television series of Teddy fondling himself (and presumably going even further than that) and also his younger brother Jake, all paid for by pedophiles turning over eye-popping amounts of online cash.
Captain Cragen orders his tech specialist Ruben Morales to shut down the site while Elliott questions Jake again and later Teddy, who now has old SVU adversary Trevor Langan as his defense attorney. Teddy refuses to cooperate and insists his website is his business. Trevor for his part recognizes that SVU needs to go after the pedophiles subsidizing Teddy's website, but Teddy won't give up his cash cows; Elliott for his part gives Trevor and Mrs. Winnock until 9 AM to make Teddy start naming names.
But then Donna Geysen of the US Attorney General's Office shows up to arrest Teddy for distribution of child porn - a federal rap. Elliott and Casey Novak can't stiff-arm the feds, so Elliott has to travel to the Winnock household to arrest Teddy. Teddy for his part escapes out his window and is able to disappear.
Cragen is furious when he finds out how Teddy disappeared - Ruben Morales didn't shut down the Teddy's Treehouse site because chatter on the site had increased and indicated that some of Teddy's online "friends" have swung into action to "rescue" Teddy. Ruben insists he can find Teddy (and at least some of the pedophiles "helping" him) by setting up a sting with one of the pervs who frequents the site. Ruben accompanies Elliott and Fin on the sting and explains he is driven to catch online pedophiles because a relative who had a computer he supplied was raped by a pedophile.
A teacher thus is busted at the prearranged rendezvous and gives up Teddy's hideout - a building called The Nest, where Teddy records his series. Elliott and Fin check the room out and find a new episode of Teddy's show, an episode unfinished because as it begins one of Teddy's friends (unseen by the camera) enters - and knocks Teddy unconscious and takes him away. Further checking indicates the room is rented by a man using a stolen ID and using checks from New Jersey.
Now Elliott and Fin need help from a once (and perhaps future) member of SVU - Olivia Benson, now working in computer crimes. Her knowledge of computer crimes allows Elliott and Fin to find another Teddy's Treehouse fan who is interrogated, let go, then goes to an internet cafe and messages the man holding Teddy prisoner.
