The Hunting License
Prismark1015 August 2020
I noticed that in the starting titles Monty Nash carries a briefcase phone. The very latest in 1970s Motorola technology.

In this episode, Nash finds himself hunting down his mentor Ross Carter (Leslie Nielsen) who has escaped from a psychiatric hospital.

Carter is a decorated war veteran and a trained killer. He is on the hunt of the leader of the American Nazi Party, Kurt White. Nash is in the unenviable position of trying to save White.

The best part of the episode is the fellow Nazis who deliver White to Carter as he threatens to throw a grenade at them.

Made just over a quarter century after the end of the second world war, the show takes a dim view of American Nazis. If made today their rhetoric would be celebrated as much of the right wing has morphed into the American Republican Party.

The core of the story is Nash trying to get through to his mentor without anyone getting killed. This was a better episode than the uninspiring opener.
