All of the photos used in the film were of friends and family members. The landscape photos mounted in the hallway scenes were taken by E. Williams and borrowed from his personal collection.
There are two different versions of the film. A blonde version and a brunette version. This was writer/director W.A.S. II's first feature film.
There is an alternate ending where the killer escapes but, the producers thought it best to change the fate of the character to set up for the sequel.
All nine rooms in the house used in the final scenes had white walls and had to be painted. Collectively, every room combined was finished by a five man crew in just 7 hours.
