****SPOILERS**** Worth seeing in that the take no BS as well as all business former chief of detectives Robert T. Ironside, Raymond Burr, shows his human and sensitive side here in regard to blind murder witness Norma Wales, Katherine Crawford, but the story at times seems to go nowhere. That in the unnamed as well as uncredited killer of Ironside's good friend and former SFPD detective Ted Bartlett,Stephen Dunne, having really no good reasons to murder Bartlett in that it ended up blowing his cover that he so successfully kept for some 15 years. In fact Even Ironside can't quite remember who the killer is after he was finally apprehended or gunned down at the end of the episode.

It's pretty and blind as well as blond, Norma Wales who was just about to get out of an elevator when the killer gunned down Ted Bartlett. Seeing Norma but not realizing that she's blind the killer spends the rest of the Ironside episode stalking her all throughout San Francisco trying to keep her from talking to the police and identify him as Bartlett's murderer. The paranoid fool didn't realize even up to the time the cops plugged him that Norma was in no position to identify anyone even her fiancée Jerry Pearson, Robert Reed.

****SPOILERS**** Setting a trap for the killer at San Francisco's Hilltop Hotel with Norma as bait had her fiancée Jerry almost blow the entire sting operation as well as having, in his mindless actions, Norma killed. It was the cool and collective Ironside who thought ahead that prevented that from happening. As for the killer who looked like one of the, David that is, Carradine brothers his luck ran out just when he thought he had Norma in his grip. He died not faceless but nameless to the world and those of us watching that it made you wonder why didn't the writers of the Ironside episode even bother to give the guy a name that he could be identified with?
