This is a kooky little comedy--one that might be nice to make into a full-length film. It begins with a 50-something housewife leaving her kitchen and moving into the pantry to live! When her son asks her why, she responds that since no one appreciated her, she wanted to leave. But, since they can't afford this, she decided to make her new home this roomy pantry! Well, the son starts to feel bad about how he's treated her, but when Dad comes home it's obvious where most of the problem lies. Instead of feeling bad, he makes many excuses for ignoring and even cheating on her!! What a saint, huh?! And so, as the film ends, she's still living in the pantry--holding fast to her resolve.

Some may not like the way the film ended without any resolution. Well, given that the film is only about 10 minutes long, this just wasn't possible and I am thrilled they didn't just slap a pat resolution onto it. I applaud the film for its creativity as well as its nice sense of humor. I also applaud it for picking a leading lady who is far from the Hollywood ideal--a rather frumpy looking lady who looks like a real mom.
