What a Load of Flubber...

If you were curious like a cat, go down the pit, where you'll find a great green mass, you can't miss it, there's a weasel down there too, and he knows just what to do, although his choices are a trifle counterfeit.

We call it The Creature, I know what I call it!!

I was quite kind to the opening episode, I praised the look of it, and to some extent the feel of it, great costumes, and of course the excellent Adastra. Myra Frances continues to impress, one scene in particular where she gives poor Romana a pretty vicious slap, she isn't to be messed with, an act that we'll never see in a modern day Doctor Who. Geoffrey Bayldon is also enjoyable as Organon, although his lines, and the general overall feel of the story are in one word 'Silly.' That silliness however, is dwarfed in more ways then one, by the giant phallic beast in the pit, I cannot understand how on Earth the designers thought it was a good idea, the only possible conclusion I can make is that they were sending the show up. It looks shocking, coupled with the flippant dialogue I didn't enjoy this episode at all.

Poor. 3/10
