Astonishing and Memorable

This is an unusual and thought-provoking short film. A pretty young woman is at a prison, presumably to visit her husband/boyfriend/lover on a conjugal visit. We see her getting changed into a nice dress, with her fantasies of seeing her man. She goes through the indignity of a body search, is sat in a cell, and she waits.... This is an astonishing and memorable piece of film; the young woman is played by an actress called Josie Maran, and shows her love for her man, despite her own vulnerability. The prisoner/husband is played by Wentworth Miller, newly famous from TV's Prison Break, and let's just say that he shows himself in a very different light. A very well made short film from 2005, don't miss it

Warning: Spoilers
"The Confession" is an American 15-minute live action short film from 2005, so this one had its 10th anniversary already and it was written and directed by Ash Baron-Cohen, cousin of Sasha. But the real star in here is probably Wentworth Miller. He starred in this little film around the same time that his career-defining show "Prison Break" started and given the contents in here I doubt this is a coincidence. Anyway, this one we have here is like a third of a weaker Prison Break episode to be honest. I can't really blame the female lead as her character is the prime example of how female characters should not be written. She may have some screen time, but she does not have any material to work with at all, not even at the beginning when she is still in the focus. Miller is as forgetting as usual in here though and once again confirms my approach that he simply isn't lead actor material. I can only shake my head at people giving this extremely mediocre work a perfect 10/10. I guess you need to be a huge Prison Break fanboy/-girl to do so, but we all know there are more than just a few of them out here. Back to this one here: the plot, acting and other components are never on a level where I would recommend checking it out. Stay away.
