- Prolonged, graphic violence and war combat. When you shoot someone, it leaves a mild blood spray. When you shoot them in the head, the camera will sometimes focus onto the falling corpse in slow motion and you can see the deep, dark red headshot wound on the head. Several times, pieces of flesh would pop out when you shoot someone.
- During one part there is a cutscene where a German sniper is kicked off a church bell tower, although the impact with the floor is unseen the aftermath is very gory, in close up his intenstines are hanging out and his left eyeball has popped out and is seen hanging out the socket, this can only be seen when you re-enter the mission
- In mission called "Hell Highway" in a building you find two corpses with their stomaches ripped open and intestines lying apart. Quite diturbing.
- Most of the battles are intense and where you need to use cover and kill enemies.
- When you take damage, your field of view goes redder and redder.
- German soldiers can be blown up with grenades (gory) and some have missing limbs or heads.
- When you headshot a german, a slow-mo effect takes place.
- Character is graphically shot in chest, he survives.
- Building gets blown off, killing one soldier and injuring three others. Main character has several bloody cuts over his face. Another character is paralyzed for which we learn later in the game.
- The violence is pretty extreme, but can be turned off from game options.
- A young girl is shot in remorselessly several times in her chest with bloody results. We also notice bullet holes.

- 12 F-words, similiar amount of s--t, around 6-7 goddamn and 3 times bloody used by an British soldier.

- The game portrays Operation Market Garden in a dark, ominous, and gritty tone. The violence and many of the emotional scenes can be quite disturbing, such as a scene where two soldiers engage into a fistfight and two German soldiers pop out of nowhere and kills one of them before being shot themselves by a dying soldier.
- Many emotional and sad scenes, especially very near the end when soldier must tell another he's paralyzed and is going home soon.
- Another sad scene occurs when soldiers founds dead body of an young boy whom we meet before. His face is smeared with blood.
