Author and prominent anti-Islam campaigner Ayaan Hirsi Ali has cancelled her speaking tour of Australia and New Zealand, citing security concerns among a number of reasons for pulling out on the day she was due to arrive in Sydney. Hirsi Ali was due to deliver speeches in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne this week but venues where she was due to speak had received warnings that they would be targetted by Muslim protesters and Hirsi Ali attacked.

Calls for the SA Labor Government to refund taxpayers for a $750k political campaign against the Federal Coalition Government. The money was granted to the organization One Community which has strong links to the Labor Party and the campaign involved Labor-linked figures Matt Osborn and Brad Chilcott, approved by premier Jay Weatherill. The Auditor-General found the Learn to Grow campaign by One Community was used to influence support for the Labor Party.
