The production company, Wysiwyg, challenged the cast and crew to conceptualise, write, shoot and do a rough edit of the film in 80 hours. On a Friday morning at 9:00 they received a phone call which randomly presented them with a genre and title from a list compiled from associates around the world. They received "Dead Eyes", the romantic comedy. 80 hours later, Monday afternoon at 17:00 the cast and crew finished a very rough cut, already scored with original music and a solid story.
