Warning: Spoilers
Edith Pegden is a biword for abysmal motoring and, she is desperate to find a mug to be her driving instructor.

First one to draw the short straw is husband Wesley who, blithely assumed he would be safe with a crash helmet.

Daughter Glenda not content with seeing her dad in a state of shell shock, she has to inflict her mums driving on her hubby Barry.

Ever the school marm Seymour simply assumes that his sister Edie, just needs a more determined instructor.

It's a great pity that the old know all isn't qualified to do the dirty work himself. But that's never stopped him from putting, his oar into other people's business before. And it does not prevent him, from volunteering another pillock at the first opportunity.

Hasn't Wally suffered enough being married to Nora? What has the poor sap done to deserve it?

But Seymour doesn't escape scot free as he is expected to be a passenger.

Nora is so used to shouting at Wally that, she doesn't even notice when he's not there to hear her.

Cleggie thought he could just be a spectator, but Seymour dropped him into the driving seat. However he was no sooner behind the wheel that Norman quickly rediscovered, there was a worst driver than Eddie.

The car is the star

As we see Edie Pegden in later episodes. She was always a bad driver. Good job Wesley was a mechanic as I reckoned he changed the clutch every other week.

Here we see Edie learning to drive and blaming Wesley for changing things around and making the car go too fast.

Wesley has had enough of becoming ashen faced each time he takes Edie out for a driving lesson. So Seymour thinks he can help his sister out but he cannot drive. In order to give Wesley a break Seymour needs to tempt someone else with a driving licence to accompany him and Edie.

The unlucky soul is Wally Batty even though he is more comfortable with motorbikes and later Barry.

Some hair raising driving by Edie and some unconvincing blue screen work.

There is a nice scene at the end with Wally and the dog he adopted in Uncle of the Bride.
