This is my favorite episode. It surprised me from start to finish.

As a big fan of Gungrave's first two episodes of Season 2, I had high hopes for "Dispute," but sadly it turned out to be a complete waste of time. This episode adds nothing to the overall story and is essentially just filler. To make matters worse, the writing is embarrassingly bad and the plot is one of the dumbest I have seen in any anime.

The episode centers around a hitman who has killed over 300 people being released from prison and discovering that his old friend has been working on a project to bring the dead back to life. While this premise has potential, the execution is so poorly done that it's impossible to take any of it seriously. The characters are shallow and one-dimensional, and the dialogue is cringe-worthy.

Despite all of this, I have to admit that this episode doesn't ruin the season. The follow-up episode, "Conflict," is fantastic and more than makes up for the disappointment of "Dispute." However, if you're looking to skip an episode of Gungrave Season 2, this is the one to skip. It's a complete waste of time and adds nothing to the story.
