Stan Blake is an up and coming engineer in his firm, about to become a partner. He is also a widower with four children. At the same time Harold's teacher, a prim and proper looking woman in her 30s, has been coming over to help him with his studies. Hazel sees a chance to do some match-making, but George Baxter thinks he knows better. He ends up introducing Stan to the sister of his law partner, Mimi Andrews. Dorothy and Hazel both make faces at the mention of this person - Neither of them has a good impression, apparently.
Stan and Mimi hit it off to the point that it's a whirlwind courtship and Stan is planning to propose. But then at the beauty salon Mimi "lets her hair down" if you'll pardon the expression, and the real Mimi shows herself. And it's not a pretty picture. Fortunately, Rosie, one of Hazel's good friends, hears all of this and tells Hazel. Hazel then comes up with a cunning plan to reveal the real Mimi to Stan. What do I mean by that? Watch and find out.
George showed himself as not being very people smart in this one, as you would expect a good lawyer to be. He handled Mimi's last divorce for her (there have been several) and since women are usually quite revealing of their uglier side in these proceedings, you'd think he would have picked up on that.
