Pride cometh before a fall
A friend of the Baxters, a dentist at the far end of middle age and his wife, have a very difficult son, Sid. The synopsis says the boy is snobby but a better description would be that he is insufferable!
The Baxters' son, Harold is very involved in cub scouts, and Sid is invited to join in on the kids' activities, but he is very disruptive. He says that he can do anything the scouts are doing better than they are doing it and derides the scouts when they have difficulty with an activity. Harold in particular hates this kid, and I can't say I see things differently than he does. Then Sid decides to show off and climb to the very top of a tall tree in the Baxter backyard and can't get back down. A cat would be worth saving from this fate, but Sid - well, watch and find out what happens.
One of the "time tunnel" points of interest in this episode is Hazel going to see Sid's father, Dr. Kingsman, by making an appointment with him professionally. She actually just wants to talk to him about Sid but winds up having a tooth filled. The bill - A princely sum of fifteen dollars! That's 154 dollars in 2024, but still, not bad! Those were the days.
