A young girl is accompanied by her parents to make a complaint against an Italian man she had met the night before, the claim is rape. Garfield and Loxton visit an apartment where two young girls are surviving without their mum.
This is a significant episode, one that really does signal a new era for the show. The last time there was a case of rape, the victim was treated very badly, and had a job convincing anyone to take her seriously. This is very different, the claimant is instantly taken seriously, the alleged attacker dealt with very quickly.
I enjoyed this very much, it's an excellent episode, with a huge deal going on, aside from the afore mentioned case, there is also the one featuring the two young kids, for once, I'm on the side of Loxton, he was spot on, and almost managed to come across as likeable.
We have the stereotypical Italians, and both of course are gorgeous. We have Vincent Riotta and Alexander Torriglia, one gives a very strong performance, the other one sadly didn't, I'll let you make your minds up.
Harry Haines comes across better here.
Progressive episode, 9/10.
