Mike and Polly are called to a disturbance at a block of flats, an elderly woman has been assaulted, and a young girl is locked in her flat, and has potentially been harmed.
It's a great start, there's lots of energy and drama, and it promises much, Edna Dore is great as the nosy, but concerned neighbour, and PC Jarvis is great. I thought the main body of it was almost a little disappointing, it gave us a great start, but didn't really go anywhere.
Can you imagine what the health and safety crazed brigade would have made of Mike's efforts to climb over into the next flat, nowadays I'm sure there's a risk assessment for tying your own shoe laces.
I cannot believe how young Lucy Speed looks, she's a good actress, and someone that seems to have been around for so long.
I did chuckle at the closing line, you just knew that baby wasn't going to be called Polly.
Decent, 7/10.
