Kirk and the nun

With all the setup done in the previous episode, this 2nd one can really just let the wonderful characters take flight, with John Sullivan's writing as ever on top form.

More people should know about this show, it's great.

Laughs galore in this second episode.

John is struggling with life as a divorcee, he's lonely and skint, and his ex wife is calling for more money, he becomes more dependent on the 1-2-1 club.

A truly funny second episode, the scenario and characters have all been established, the laughs flow freely. We're introduced to John's landlady, Mrs Lemenski, a lady, who thinks John is a crazy person.

Such was the brilliance of John Sullivan, that every single character matters, you can't really single out a single one, they're all so funny.

Kirk delivers so many funny lines, he's such an ape, but he's amusing enough, and already we can see he's not all he's making out.

I just loved Louise, the joy that erupts across her face when she hears or potential 'sexual problems,' magical, Bell's delivery is terrific.

8/10.

John tries to get one over his first wife. He misspells her name in the alimony cheque. Send her a Venus flytrap on her birthday.

She takes revenge for applying for an increase in maintenance payments. Maybe Johns should just let go.

In the 1-2-1 Club the group talk about their problems. Ralph is suspicious that the plants are talking about him. Kirk fell in love with a nun in San Francisco.

Kate tells everyone she has been thrice married and is frigid. That is something that will rebound on her later.

There is fun in the way the characters interact with each other. Kirk is certainly larger than life but everyone imbues something extra including Mrs Arnott and Louise.
