Caitlin Stasey: Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas
Quotes
-
Felicity 'Fliss' Sidebotham : [pulling a folded piece of paper out of a jar] "I'm scared of heights."
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : [narrating] We all wondered who that could be. Rosie thought she knew.
Rosie Cartwright : [thinking] Could it really be that Frankie was afraid of heights?
Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas : [pulls another piece of paper out of the jar] "I so can't deal with blood."
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : [narrating] Frankie was pretty sure about this one.
[reading from another piece of paper from the jar]
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : "I'm so scared of sharks, I can barely look at the sea without wanting to puke." Obviously not Kenny. Nothing makes her want to puke.
Rosie Cartwright : [unfolds a piece of paper from the jar] "I fear public humiliation."
Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas : That one's stupid.
Rosie Cartwright : Hey. No disrespecting the fears.
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : Well, now we know that one's not Frankie's
Felicity 'Fliss' Sidebotham : Not necessarily. Maybe she's using reverse psychology.
Rosie Cartwright : Lucky last fear. This is the one that we get to conquer. Whosever fear it is must own up, though, so we can overcome it together. Whose turn is it?
Kenny Tan : Mine.
[takes the last paper out and unfolds it]
Kenny Tan : "Bats"?
Rosie Cartwright : Okay. Bats it is. So whose fear was bats?
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : [narrating] Typical. I never win anything. Ever. But I had to win Fearlotto.
[raises her hand]
Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas : Bats? But you love all animals.
Felicity 'Fliss' Sidebotham : Wasn't Sara scared of a little animal?
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : This is different. Bats are heap scarier.
Kenny Tan : You're not talking about cricket bats, are you?
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : You didn't say anything about having to explain the fear.
Rosie Cartwright : If we know more about it, we can help you overcome it better.
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : Okay. When I was little, Mum and Dad took Michael and me canoeing. We canoed all the way up the canal to Bat Hollow.
Kenny Tan : Oh, you mean fruit bats!
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : Anyway, we were canoeing along, and all of a sudden, I got swooped. I could sense their bony, sticky claws. Their spiky, creepy teeth. Their weird eyes boring into me. All around was flapping and squawking.
Kenny Tan : Aren't bats nocturnal? What are they doing flapping around during the day?
Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas : Squawking? Hang on. I remember this. They were seagulls after your sandwiches.
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : But they could've been bats. In my mind, they were bats. And I've been scared of them ever since.
Kenny Tan : But you're not scared of seagulls?
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : No, bats. Just bats, okay?
Kenny Tan : Okay.
Rosie Cartwright : Now all we need is a plan to help Lyndz confront her bat fear.
Lydnsey 'Lyndz' Collins : [narrating] You know what I said before about a piece of cake? Forget it. The next day, things were about to get way trickier.
