A dealer is brought in and banged to rights, a watertight case against him and his operation, but he has something to offer.
It's quite a depressing sign of the times, this episode captures the situation of drugs better than any other on the show so far. This was gritty, realistic, and fairly poignant, Brownlow surprisingly being the one with an understanding of the drug situation.
Derek's birthday was a nice touch, and talking of touch, was he totally in character here though, he was a bit of a dodgy octopus here.
Jim once again seems to be the one that falls in a pit of roses, and comes up covered in greenfly, poor Jim.
Heartbeat fans might recognise David Lonsdale here, who played one half of the Jessup and Gelder duo.
