Bullying, law breaking, plenty happening here.
Danny Pearce receives information about a man who's dealing from his home, the man happens to have multiple sclerosis.
It's a real mixed bag this episode, two very definite things for consideration, the law itself, and Suzi's treatment.
I'll begin with the latter, was Suzi being bullied here by her boneheaded make colleagues? I very much think so, Danny and Rod are both coming across now as pretty awful, considering that Danny is supposed to be her boss, he appears pretty incompetent.
Tosh and Woods on the other hand, are becoming the best guys in CID, they're honest, they're fair, they do what's right, the younger guys are smart a***s.
The law....many years back my family had a close friend, who was in the same situation as Robert Francis, the law is insane, should people not have the choice to medicate how they see fit? I have different views....the dealing is of course criminal, you feel that the treatment in this episode was harsh however.
I didn't necessarily find it an easy watch, and some of the content was hard to take, but as a stand alone episode, it was very good. I really liked Suzi following this, she's been as quiet as a church mouse since joining, she showed true character here.
8/10.
