Polly is among those that burst into a house on a drugs raid, it turns out one of the people there, Jenny was her best friend at School, she has tough decisions to make.
A cracking episode, it feels like we're into another really strong run. A cracking story, one that explores Polly's character, both as a person, and as a Policewoman.
Polly behaves exactly as expected, she even manages to get a wink of Monroe, that's a first surely.
What happened to Ronnie though, thought he was going to be an interesting character, he was sort of abandoned.
It's clear why Polly became such a favourite for many, Lisa Geoghan was perfectly cast as tough, but sensitive Polly. Funny scenes in the van, where her and Jenny discuss the old days, but a more serious scene awaits.
Ann Mitchell is always so good, such a presence, very good here.
Credit to Sally Johnson, for her pipe work.
It's a cracking episode, 9/10.
