An insert shot shows the tickets to be used for the piano recital at the Women's Club. The price is $4.40, which would be equivalent to about $42.50 in 2020 dollars. (When tickets are seen for a piano recital in The Bloodhound (1955), also at the Women's Club, the ticket price there is also $4.40.)
Ozzie buys concert tickets for the boys to encourage their appreciation of different types of music. The tickets originally intended for Ricky are for "Piano Recital by Franz Lichtner". At that program, closeups of the pianist playing various pieces show the hands of Frank Leithner (according to the end credits). Leithner and Ozzie Nelson worked together as early as 1920, when they were sophomores in High School. In 1957, Leithner appeared as 'Sneezing Pianist' in the Hi-Fi Shop (1957) episode of The Spike Jones Show (1957).
