Episode 285 sees the focus very much on Victoria, who is getting more and more into Barnabas' clutches by the day. Unfortunately for her, she seems to be in one of her 'ditzy' phases where she has no clue what's going on despite it all being blatantly obvious.

Victoria's obsession about Josette has broken members of the Collins family concern, and when Barnabas gives her a book signed over to her, the the stage is set for Victoria to become even more under Barnabas has power. It is another dark and stormy night and Barnabas is more than delighted to have Victorious spend the night when she gets stranded at the old house during a storm. It's obvious that something is going to happen, but nothing really happens in this episode other than a lot of talk about what happened previous to this episode so it's basically all recap with just a little bit of a cliffhanger.
