Excellent Competition Episode

Warning: Spoilers
With Nathan 'kidnapped' by Aitutaki and therefore unable to work with Rarotonga in the next competition only, Rarotonga falls flat on its face in an event that involved swimming and puzzle building.

Brad would further make an odd decision to sit out the swimming and expressed his intention to do the puzzle-building.

This then saw Rarotonga without Brad or Nathan to swim.

And with Ozzy on Aitutaki, Rarotonga suffered for it. Rarotonga never even made it to the puzzle competition after failing at swimming.

But the team didn't turn on Sondra who suffered from swimming and couldn't do it more than once; they were dismayed by Brad's wanting to do the puzzle.

When Jeff tells Nathan he can return to his team, we see one extremely sour face on Nathan as he receives this information.

Nathan was also very expressive in his disapproval of Brad's not swimming instead of volunteering to do the puzzle, referring to him as a Nancyboy. Too funny.

Apparently this will continue on in next week's episode.

Generally episodes will focus on the person who ends up voted off. Could Brad be on his way out next week? With the second event concerning which team goes to tribal council, we now had a different competition with yet another puzzle.

This time, Brad wasn't even on the team for assembling the puzzle, but it was little Jenny who tore that puzzle up, even after her team lost time in the swimming.

Wonderful to see this team do an about-face like that.

I engaged in a discussion with a fan of the show over what makes Survivor; the competitions or the teamwork.

I personally enjoyed seeing this intense competition more than I did the bickering that they do when they decide who to vote off, but the other fellow said it was tribal council that was important.
