The new Chief Inspector ops arrives, Stritch, and he's keen to make an impression. Will he make an example of Slater, who makes a basic error.
A good episode, an interesting story, with a pretty good villain, a bit wet behind the ears, but he was entertaining enough. It is a little guilty of playing to the stereotypes, Nick is once again portrayed as a bit wet, a bit stupid, and of course fast tracked Stritch is a little abrasive.
It seems there are lessons to be learned here, both for experienced and wet behind the ears coppers.
Mark Spalding has made a pretty good start, I was expecting the chap from Barton Street that clashed with Cato to have filled the role, but Stritch is almost a carbon copy of him.
Pretty good, 7/10.
