Why does everyone keep saying that the Erie canal, goes between NYC, and Buffalo, NY? It actually goes between Albany, NY, and the Tonawandas, in NY. This myth needs to stop being taught. In NYC, the Hudson River is between NYC, and Albany. In the western end of the canal, the Niagara River was between, the Tonawandas and Buffalo. Typical Buffalo, NY. They try and take everything from the rest of the area. They claim that Niagara Falls is in Buffalo. When they bring up the history of any aircraft history, they mention Vitally. They also claim that the airport is in Buffalo, when it's in Cheektowaga, NY, and the Buffalo Bills are actually in Orchard Park.
