Great episode.
Mike and Gary attend the scene of a road accident, where a woman with a horse box has collided with a male driver.
For me, this is show at its very best, it manages to deliver a few surprises, a sense of intrigue, and it's a mix of drama and comedy. You initially think you're in for an almost comical episode, but it changes up mid way through, and becomes something very different. The writer clearly knew what they were doing with the characters.
Mike has become a bit similar to Rod, people are keen to knock him down a few pegs, Beckett was very good here, not one for major laughs on screen, he looked so uncommon with that horse.
I did very much like the change up in tone, and the joke with the sugar cubes.
This eas great, 9/10.
