Plenty going on here.
An elderly lady is attacked, her home burgled, DS Daley tries to persuade her son, a taxi driver, to help.
What a sad start, there's nothing worse than seeing a sweet elderly lady in trouble like that. It's a good episode, definitely a pretty original plot, with shades of Carry on Cabby.
I like the way the plot develops, it doesn't follow the traditional format, once again Sun Hill's sergeants do a great job in messing things up.
Some good use of humour, I liked the duo of Carver and Tosh, the latter was incredibly grumpier than the usual grump Carver.
Is it me, or are there more piercings visible in this episode than have appeared in the show's last decade? Pierson's piercings (they did that deliberately) are pretty modern, maybe not the chain.
8/10.
