Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaAccording to Katee Sackhoff, Edward James Olmos suggested that the cast abstain from eating for a period of time in order to prepare for the scenes of starvation. Not every actor agreed with the idea.
- GoofsWhen Kara is pinning a photo to the remembrance wall, one of the notes reads, in part, "God rest their souls." Throughout the series the Colonials have very carefully referred to Gods, plural: Gods help us, thank Gods, etc. Surely the note should read "Gods rest their souls."
- Quotes
Colonel Saul Tigh: The last batch of passengers kicked up some trouble. Yeah - you get these people to the other side and they think there's a diner and a chef waiting to take their order.
Admiral William Adama: When are they gonna learn? They gotta process the thing first, for frak's sake.
Colonel Saul Tigh: Try telling that to a bunch of empty stomachs.
Admiral William Adama: I hear they're still eating paper. Is that true?
Colonel Saul Tigh: No. Paper shortage.
[Both begin laughing hysterically]
Admiral William Adama: Not a good sign.

Second, I will respond to Glaskas from Sweden. Galactica and the colonial fleet have limited manufacturing technology, energy, and foodstuffs available to them. They do not have Miles O'Brien, Leonard McCoy, Spock,or even a home-world, let alone a federation to draw resources from. With all of the radiation in outer space, why should it come as a surprise that they might face a food shortage and an enormous radiation cloud against which they have limited defenses. I see not discontinuity here.
Third, it goes without saying that this episode offers one of Luciana Carro's series-best performance. Sackhoff also contributes very nicely to this one.
Fourth, If you tend to be easily affected by depressing stories, you may want to avoid BSG's third season. Episode after episode... ai ai ai.
