  Narrator : After crossing the grassland, our heroes find themselves in the Safari Zone, where wild Pokémon roam free, just waiting to be captured.

  Ash Ketchum : Wow, this place is like a dream! Pokémon wherever you look. It must be the Safari Zone! Let's start catching em!

  Misty : Wait a minute, Ash.

  Brock : We might still be in the Pokémon Reserve.

  Ash Ketchum : You kidding? This HAS to be the Safari Zone! Just take a look at all these Pokémon!

  [Soon, a Chansey pops up in the bushes] 

  Ash Ketchum : It's Chansey! Here's MY chance. I'm gonna catch it!

  Officer Jenny : [However, the Chansey is revealed to be a hat worn by a rifle wielding Officer Jenny]  Freeze! Drop that Pokéball!

  [Everyone stops in their tracks] 

  Officer Jenny : My name is Jenny, Safari Ranger. You're under arrest for Pokémon poaching.

  Ash Ketchum : [Everyone gasps]  Under arrest?

  Pikachu : Pi Pikachu!

  [translation: "But this can't be!"] 

• Meowth : [spotting a herd of Kangaskhan]  There they are. We hit the jackpot. Kangaskhan parent and child Pokémon.

  [laughs] 

  Meowth : Alright, you guys! Time to get to work!

  Jessie : Prepare for trouble.

  James : Make it double.

  Jessie : To protect the world from devastation.

  James : To unite all peoples within our nation.

  Jessie : To denounce the evils of truth and love.

  James : To extend our reach to the stars above.

  Jessie : Jessie.

  James : James.

  Meowth : While you two are standing around reciting poetry, the Kangaskhan are going to get away! Come on! Hurry up!

  Jessie : Be quiet, Meowth.

  James : We know what to do without you yelling!

  Jessie : We have to say our poem or it just doesn't feel right. Now stand aside, and watch us work.

  [Jessie and James prepare a bazooka] 

  Meowth : What are you doing? We're trying to catch the Pokémon, not blast em!

  Jessie : Keep quiet and watch.

  Ash Ketchum : Do you think Tommy and his parents really can be a family?

  Brock : Ash, they love each other. They'll be just fine.

  Misty : It might be tough, though. After all, they were apart for five years.

  Pikachu : Pikachu. Pika? Pika! Pika!

  [translation: "I do too. What's this? You guys! Look!"] 

  Brock : [Everyone looks up and sees the herd of Kangaskhan on a cliff with Tommy looking down from the lead Kangaskhan's pouch and waving along with the baby Kangaskhan our heroes found and rescued. Soon, they both give a final farewell, along with Tommy's parents]  Like I said, they'll be just fine.

  Ash Ketchum : Kanga! Kangaskhan!

  Narrator : Seeing the happy family reunited, Ash remembers his own mother, waiting patiently for him in Pallet. But now, our heroes journey on, eager for more new adventures and more new Pokémon.

  Papa : I guess, like son like father.
