When Gus has to make up an excuse to get into Doreen/Alice's house so Shawn can snoop around, Gus uses the Mrs. Pickles gag that first was mentioned in season 1 episode 3 "Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Piece" In 1.3 Shawn uses that excuse to get Gus out of work and says that next time, Mrs. Pickles is going to have kittens.
