The Invisible Man!
Flytrap3 February 2007
Warning: Spoilers
***A few minor spoilers*** Chris Eccleston shows up as "Claude Rains", (obviously not his real name) and is going to mentor Peter on how to control his powers? Good role for the former Doctor Who. Speaking of Who, who is Clairebear's daddy? Someone we know, or someone we haven't seen yet? This show actually made me start looking forward to Mondays. Kudos to the cast, the writers and everyone else who keeps me pinned to the Telly for an hour every week. My only gripe with this show is some irksome continuity errors, some doubtful science and some broken promises. In "Homecoming", we were told we'd find the meaning of, "Save the cheerleader, save the world." Well, she's saved, but we still don't know why this is so important. Hopefully we'll find out before the season is over?

The Fix is a slow-moving but still intriguing episode of Heroes
tavm8 February 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Peter finds the invisible man who tells him to stay out of his way and runs out of sight. Zach helps Claire find info on the computer about possible clues of her bio-parents whereabouts when her dad comes home early. Since Hiro seems to have lost his powers, he and Ando try but ultimately fail to run from their captors. At work, Horn-Rimmed Glasses guy (Claire's dad) has his doctor employee check Syler as he tries to keep him alive. Matt the cop has come home from a hearing suspended from his job for 6 months with no pay after his superiors' skepticism about his psychic experiences. Still in jail, Niki is now under the care of the station psychiatrist while her husband D.L. and son Micah are struggling. But Micah soon after uses his powers to get several hundred dollar bills from an ATM machine to ease his father's money troubles. Nathan and Mohinder team to find Peter to tell him about possible ways to control his powers. Peter runs from them as his brother and Mohinder run to the window thinking he flew but Peter's actually with the invisible man who agrees to help Peter in harnessing his powers more to his liking. Claire puts a chime signal in her window which the Haitian man answers with the two meeting at the construction site as they discuss the girl's bio-parents which Haitian answers that her mom died in a fire while he knows nothing about her dad. Zach shows a paper with the deaths of her mom and a baby girl mentioned. Claire was supposedly that girl. She later calls someone who turns out to be her mom who has the power to light fires. The captured Hiro and Ando are taken in a van and as they are led out they are face to face with...Hiro's dad! Matt finds out his wife is pregnant as they embrace making Matt happy despite his temporary unemployment. Syler had died under the doctor's watch but as HRG goes to pick the body he finds under the sheet that it's the doctor who's dead as Syler enters...While a bit slow moving, there were some intriguing things throughout such as the reveal at the end that Hiro's dad is played by Mr. Sulu himself, George Takei! How cool! Claire is smart enough to act nonchalant in front of her dad to avoid arousing suspicion but HRG may have known something when he saw the chimes still in his daughter's window. Is Matt's baby going to have any powers when it is born? Just what is that thing at the back of Syler's head? And why does Hiro's dad want to take him back to Japan? As always, I can't wait to watch the next episode. Until next time...

Chapter Thirteen 'The Fix'
Prismark1030 April 2021
Christopher Eccleston makes his full appearance as Claude Rains the Invisible Man.

Fantastic. He even gets to use his catchphrase as the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who.

Claude also has anger management issues, he hates people.

There are several characters who have parental issues. Claire wants to track down her mother and she might just go down in flames.

Hiro gets taken for a ride and it is not at warp speed.

There is a good balance as all the main cast gets something to do. Even Sylar and he is supposed to be dead.

The episode finishes on a nice cliffhanger.
