Science Fiction Or Possible Fact?
AaronCapenBanner2 October 2014
The dream of human space & time travel has been held by people for ages, and of course is the stuff of science fiction literature, films, and television. Famed novelist H.G. Wells is played by an actor in a fun recreation of his famous novel "The Time Machine", with imagery inspired by the popular 1960 film with Rod Taylor. Scientists are interviewed as well, who discuss both the reality of space travel, and its potential future and challenges, and the plausibility of time travel, and if it could ever be achieved, and the potential consequences as a result. Entertaining episode is presented in an interesting and stylish manner, creating a nice futuristic atmosphere.

Plausible

Warning: Spoilers
Plausible episode! Time & Space Travel mixes fiction with fact. Starting with H G Wells time machine and the concepts. The fiction segues into fact with professors and experts. Einstein's theories are explained. One learns why we can not travel faster than light because time stops beyond the speed of light. Black holes, matter and other topics are breached. We learn about what other people think about for future space travel. Time & Space Travel is a bit out it episode. Time and Space is so hard to grasp the episode would be out of it in some way! Well directed, paced and narrated. Much information for 20 minutes. 7 out of 10.

In Search Of... "Time & Space Travel" (1982)

As season six (and the series) came to a close the idea of time travel is finally brought up. We hear about the theories behind being able to bounce around in time and there are a couple different scientists who are interviewed and share their opinions on the subject. One of the scientists seems like someone you'd see in a mad scientist movie from the 1950's but he's a lot of fun and certainly makes the rather nerdy material a lot more entertaining. For the most part there's nothing overly special about this episode but with the great interview it's certainly worth watching.
