L KIRA, W AGENT & WIFE!
Carlo20228 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why'd he have to kill the agent?! 😖 I liked him 😫 I think it would've been better if he spared the innocent, especially since they're agents that have done nothing wrong, it kind of contradicts why Kira is killing people because he is killing people that stop other people getting killed, IOW: He is stopping the people that stop OTHER CRIMES from happening in the first place!

I still gave it an 8 because it's still a great episode and I like how the show is easily able to establish everything in an engaging way, the character are pretty good, L feels like a genuinely smart guy (I was worried when he first showed up because I was like how is this guy going to manage to find a random guy with a Death Note but they've done really well with how he's able to figure things out)

For me, I personally think it would've been better if Kira had made some sort of rule not to kill any of the innocent unless it was absolutely necessary, that way when he does have to, or he accidently does it further down the line, the viewer would actually feel for not only the innocent person he has killed but for Kira as well knowing he didn't want to but had to for the greater good. I guess you could argue that he WAS doing that in this episode by killing the FBI but for me I just don't think that's true, I don't think he HAD to kill them.

It also just feels like Kira doesn't even have any remorse for the people he is killing that haven't even done anything wrong, like the main FBI Agent he killed in this episode was actually a nice guy, that's why I liked him but the fact the main character doesn't even really care after killing him, it's actually making me root for the people trying to stop him, because now he actually IS putting more people in danger by stopping the people that help stop the danger in the FIRST place!

SUMMARY: I'd still give this show an 8.5 so far, definitely recommend, I just personally believe this show could've been much better if the main character actually had remorse for the INNOCENT people he were killing ESPECIALLY when it comes to the police, who ya know, STOP OTHER CRIMES FROM HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE!

If you think Light is right in what he is doing, this episode should prove how evil he is.

Warning: Spoilers
If you think Light is right in what he is doing, this episode should prove how evil he is. Light is not a good person. He is an egomaniac and psychopath. He already proved that when he killed the man pretending to be L in the media broadcast in episode 2. But I can see from some reviews, that some people don't get it. Light is the bad guy. He is exactly what he hates about the world that he ironically says he wants to fix. He has a God complex.

Light was very clever in setting up Raye Penber. So devious in getting Raye to actually be the one to write the FBI agents' names from a piece of paper from the Death Note. Raye unwittingly killed the FBI agents. And Light took absolute pleasure out of that. He didn't even need to do it. As in the last episode, it was revealed that was Raye's last day following Light. And Light became aware that the cameras and bugs were gone from his house and that Raye would move on to following other people in the last episode. That's why he waited.

So Light killed 12 FBI agents who were only doing their jobs. They were good guys. He did it because he wants to win over L whom he is now obsessed with. He did it because he has a God complex and how dare they try and interfere with God.

Raye's fiance is suspicious and will investigate as shown here and continues into the next episode. The task force is reduced to 5 people including Light's father. L reveal's himself to the remaining 5 in a face-to-face meeting. L is slight and scruffy looking and very eccentric. He appears to be a teenager himself, or at least a young adult.

Anyway, a compelling watch. 10/10.

Awesome

Warning: Spoilers
The soundtrack for this anime is wonderful in every episode. This episode had practically two cores, that of Light/Kira Vs Raye and the police considering whether or not to trust L. I believe this was the episode with the most information so far. Kira's genius transcends in this episode when he uses Raye to kill all the other FBI agents and Raye himself. And now, Raye's fiancee is going to start investigating too. As all the episodes passed so far, the police lost several members due to fear of Kira, leaving only one futsal team. This anime is very awesome.

Episode five watched on March 5, 2024.

Warning: Spoilers
Light just killed 12 twelve innocent people ( 12 FBI agents without even knowing them). How on earth would I be able to continue now knowing he killed innocent. I'm gonna stop watching now.
