Last week, the internet was abuzz with news of the Spawn reboot. Todd McFarlane, the creator of the comic anti-hero, spoke to the press at Fan Expo Canada, and mentioned that the script may be done by the end of the year, which would mean production in 2014 and 2015! He also suggested, among other things, that Jamie Foxx is interested, which may just give the movie that extra boost that only star power can provide.
Reading the news, I could not keep myself from experiencing a slight case of déjà vu. Haven’t I heard this before somewhere, I thought? It seemed really familiar… But, I hadn’t been reading the Spawn comics for a while, so I must have been hallucinating, I’d decided.
Except, then I started digging. It turns out, Todd McFarlane has been talking about this project for over 10 years!

A familiar duo is at it again, as 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have teamed up for a new song called "Yuck!" The video, released Monday, marks the Southern rappers' tenth song together.
The Nsfw video, which contains naked women dancing sensually, is accentuated with dark, stylized colors pulsating to the song's heavy beat and an orchestra complementing the rappers. Images of a Rottweiler, water falling in slow motion, a snake slithering and promethazine, a primary ingredient in Lil Wayne's infamous "sizzurp," are featured throughout.
2 Chainz first collaborated with Lil Wayne in 2007 when he was half of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle. The group's first single, "Duffle Bag Boy," peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. "Yuck!" is one of two songs on 2 Chainz's debut album, "Based on a T.R.U. Story," that features Lil Wayne. His other collaborators on the album include Drake, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj...

If Lil Wayne did drink the toxic concoction that reports are alleging, then he’s lucky to be alive. Keep reading for an expert’s Exclusive explanation why.
The dangerous mixture that Lil Wayne allegedly drank “should have killed him,” Dr. Phil Dembo tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Sizzurp: A ‘Poisonous Mixture’
“It’s like drinking poison,” Dr. Dembo continues. The doctor explains that Wayne’s alleged mixture of codeine and promethazine is extremely lethal, especially when mixed with alcohol. “A person can overdose on this poisonous mixture,” he says. The “bootleg” syrup that Lil Wayne reportedly consumed dangerously “increases heart rate and causes liver damage.”
Taking “anything not truly prescribed” is highly hazardous, Dr. Dembo explains, and also adds that “a mixture of substances in order for a high is a dangerous way to party.”

This guy’s a big story in beating rap’s merciless turnover rate. I loved a song by him—Playaz Circle’s “Duffle Bag Boy”—before I or much of his current audience knew who he was. 2 Chainz used to be Tity Boi, an affront to the mainstream if a moniker ever was one. But that didn’t stop me from asking who 2 Chainz was when he started appearing out of “nowhere” on high-profile singles this year. Apparently a dude mostly associated with drug money and boobs changed his name for something more “family-friendly.” He just shed skins and kept moving upward, longer than...

'He's one of the most unselfish, talented people that I've been around,' 2 Chainz tells 'RapFix Live' of Weezy.

Def Jam wasn't the only label courting 2 Chainz. Before he signed to the rap powerhouse, the Atlanta Mc was arguably the most sought-after unsigned talent in the game, so it's no surprise that he was in high demand. Still, if Lil Wayne had had his way, 2 Chainz would've linked up with his Young Money record label.
"I was one of the first people invited to Young Money, before the album. Wayne asked me," Chainz said when he appeared on Wednesday's "RapFix Live."
The two spitters have history. Weezy appeared with 2 Chainz (then known as Tity Boi) on "Duffle Bag Boy," the 2007 single with his group Playaz Circle. Two years later, Dos spent significant time on the road with Tunechi during his I Am Still Music Tour.

A representative for Brooke Shields has brushed off reports of trouble with the tax office, insisting a mix-up with official documents has now been corrected. The actress and her husband Chris Henchy were reportedly facing a $10,000 bill after executives at America's Internal Revenue Service [IRS] filed a federal tax lien on December 31, 2009 relating to payments from 2004 and 2005.
But a spokesperson for Shields has put the matter down to a mistake in paperwork, insisting the couple's taxes are fully paid up. The rep tells GossipCop.com, "[The story is] completely wrong. Brooke doesn't owe anything. All taxes were filed and paid timely. The IRS credited her payments to the wrong tax account."
Professionally, Brooke Shields began her career as a model. She then jumped to the big screen, playing in a movie for the first time in 1976 film called "Alice, Sweet Alice". Some other movies she has played included "National Lampoon's Bag Boy", "The Midnight Meat Train...

Comedy Central has snapped up rights to three National Lampoon feature films ahead of their theatrical release.
The companies have struck a deal that will give the network the first broadcast-window premiere rights to the films that will kick in just a year after they are released in theaters. All three are set for theatrical release next year.
The deal includes National Lampoon's Bag Boy, which centers on an underdog on a quest to become the top grocery bagger; National Lampoon's Ratko: The Dictator's Son, about the party animal son of Eastern Europe's most despicable tyrant who comes to the U.S. to get a college education; and "National Lampoon's 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas," a spoof of 300. Bag Boy, executive produced by Conundrum Entertainment and directed by Mort Nathan, will be released first, coming out in the first quarter.
What's unusual about the deal is that Comedy Central will get the rights to each title just a year after its release.
