An ideal mother
ethSin5 April 2009
This movie is about a teenager who thinks he was adopted, and goes to Okinawa to see his 'real' mother.

I was immediately absorbed by the story, and acting in this movie was simply PHENOMENAL. After the seeing Matsuyuki Yasuko in "Hula Girl", I had a really high expectations from her in this film, and she didn't betray me. Emoto Takasu fit the role perfectly, especially with the way he speaks, as a seemingly outgoing guy who in fact, keeps his heart shut from others.

Cinematography and music were wonderful, and although few scenes seemed distinctively low-budget attempt to be artistic, it was very well-directed overall.

This is a love-or-hate film, whether or not you will enjoy it purely depend on how much you identify with the main characters and how open minded you are. Every single characters in this film had serious mental issues, and it is necessary to accept that some people have very different motivations and thought process.

I for one absolutely loved this movie. A truly touching story on an island.
