It's amazing, it's 2024, and because there are no longer any sitcoms made, any funny ones that is, I'm relying on a show that was made 65 years ago, and guess what, it's still very funny.
A joyful episode, one that definitely puts me in mind of that classic Steptoe episode, The Desperate Hours, the old escaped prisoner holdup ploy was used many times, but it always worked.
Bootsie is on great form here, the way he tries to care for Peanuts, hilarious.
How wonderful to see an early role for the late, and much missed Bernard Cribbins, what a successful career he'd go on to have after this.
That's surely the unmistakeable voice of Geoffrey Palmer on the radio.
