Mulberry refuses to do his duty, his reason for being at Miss Farnaby's house is revealed, Mulberry becomes a nuisance fearing for her wellbeing, to the point that he becomes a nuisance.
Fabulous end to the first series, I absolutely loved this one, it's charmingly funny, it's so moving, it strikes every single note.
What was lovely, was seeing the impact of Mulberry's absence on Miss Farnaby, even though she made out that she was angry, you can see that she adores him.
I'm sad that this was Lill Roughley's final episode, I have no issues with Mary Healey, but Lill was Alice.
Who on Earth would think that this storyline would work, the son of Death sent to ease an old lady's path, what should be a depressing, macabre affair, has turned out to be quite wonderful.
Loved that final scene, truly shows that life should be lived to the max.
10/10.
