- Bart Allen returns, apparently having resumed his thieving ways and working with Oliver Queen. In fact, Queen hired Bart, Victor Stone and Arthur Curry to help him destroy Lex's mysterious 'Project 33.1'. On an intelligence gathering mission to a LuthorCorp research lab in Metropolis, Bart ("Impulse"--to become "The Flash") is captured and tortured by Lex for information. Clark is caught in a Kryptonite storage room trying to save him. With Chloe's help, Oliver ("Green Arrow"), Victor ("Cyborg"), and Arthur ("Aquaman") infiltrate the lab, rescue Bart and Clark and destroy the facility. Clark ("Boy Scout") is invited to join the new "justice league", but he must refuse until he's captured all the Phantom Zone escapees. Meanwhile, Lois continues to question Oliver's commitment to her, and he eventually decides to break up with her feeling that his commitment to fighting crime is more important then a relationship.—Anonymous
