In my childhood, i actually hated this moment because they split up. I actually cried because it was all over. I'm skeptical whether to give this episode 1 or 10 stars but i give it a 10 stars because the journey was amazing and an important part of my childhood. Damn, this brings tears to my eyes. This was heaven in my childhood.

The end of an era, the end of childhood......

Oh man, when this episode first aired who knows how many fans were nearly in or actually were in tears by the end of this episode. The breakup of the original and still the best trio in the show. If you were a kid or teenager in the late 90's to early 2000s, this was more than a kids show, it was the years of your life that you were watching. From your personal struggles, your triumphs, your adventures, your friends you meet (and sometimes break up). It was a glorious 5 years for this show, but after that it was all downhill from there. The way Ash and Misty finally see each other after 5 seasons of adventure is just touching that a tear will roll down your face. Other goodbye episodes have tried, but none matched the emotional power of this one. Thank you Takeshi Shudo for creating such wonderful memories!

Lots of feels here, lots of memories and story threads wrapped up. I didn't watch Pokémon as a kid, but the emotions are potent enough to hit a grown man pretty hard. I was absolutely not prepared for how they put all this together and broke my heart 😓
