A good 1995 episode, though we still don't have many answers yet, some clues and returning characters make it interesting.
Barnabas and Julia enter the room, finding Carolyn angrily telling them to get out. The room is in perfect condition unlike the rest of Collinwood. Barnabas and Julia leave and Carolyn talks to someone named "Tad".
Barnabas and Julia go to Prof, Stokes. He tells them Quentin is alive but insane, he recently escaped from a mental institution. He also has not aged since 1970. He tells of an exorcism he tried in 1870 which left both Carolyn and Quentin insane. After Barnabas and Julia leave, Carolyn enters and Stokes tries to comfort her. He tries to get her to remember what happened when Collinwood was destroyed in 1970.
At the playroom, Barnabas and Julia find a birthday card to "Tad" from "Carrie".
At the old house, Barnabas and Julia find Quentin's portrait, which has aged, explained why Quentin has not. Suddenly a wild Quentin rushes in with a knife. Barnabas disarms him. Barnabas and Julia explain they are the same ones he knew before, he finally believes it. Quentin is also feeling guilty he did not prevent the disaster in 1970.
