When the Assemblyman Danilo Zamesca is found shot to death in his car, Catherine and Nick investigate the crime scene. Zamesca has dedicated his life to fight drug dealers since the death of his son. The CSI team collects evidences and soon they identify the killer as the drug dealer Thomas Simon. However, the criminal vanishes and the Powers that Be and the media press the department. When Catherine, Keppler, Brass and Undersheriff McKeen are discussing the case having breakfast, Keppler suggests the use of reverse forensic, meaning to fake a crime scene to lure Thomas Simon. He says that he had had a positive result in Philadelphia, but it had failed in Baltimore since there were leaks of the investigation. However, McKeen buys the idea and orders Catherine, Keppler and Brass to keep secret to everybody, and deceiving the rest of the team.
"Redrum" is another original episode of CSI, with an interesting story of a fake crime scene to lure a criminal that is hidden. The title is the reverser of "murder", probably as a joke because of the use of the technique of "Reverse Forensics". Mike Keppler seems to be an experienced investigator. My vote is eight.
Title (Brazil): "Redrum"
