"Limited Partners" is a failed sitcom that was rejected by CBS but to recoup costs, it was shown on a program consisting of nothing but failed pilots, "CBS Summer Playhouse".
The show stars Joe Flaherty and Kevin Meaney as Regis (huh?) and Tim, two losers who work at a fast food dump. One day, the see the owner of the local football team at the restaurant and they convince themselves the guy is planning on building the new stadium across from the restaurant. So, they take their savings and buy the restaurant...planning on making a fortune when tons of new customers come there. Well, the stadium deal doesn't materialize...and the guys are stuck with an English food theme fast food joint.
Joe Flaherty and Kevin Meaney try their best here and Flaherty even co-wrote the show. However, despite me loving Flaherty and his work on "SCTV", this one was just okay...and okay is probably not what the network was looking to produce.
By the way, IMDB incorrectly says this was a one hour show, but it was designed for a half hour time slot and ran just 24 minutes.
