A wickedly funny, and alarmingly accurate depiction of how a Dylan fan could feel.

I watched this play when it was first transmitted in 1981, and have still only seen it once. I've searched high and low for a copy to buy, but nobody, including the BBC and BFI, had any knowledge of it, until now, that is. As a lifelong Dylan fan, who attended the Earl's Court concerts in June 1978, around which the plot spins, the main character rings oh, so true.

I recall watching it feeling so much sympathy for him, as his so-called friends manipulate and try to deceive him into falsely believing the piece's title.

Even 26 years ago, I identified with someone who can reply to almost every question asked of them with a Dylan, or Dylan-esquire, response. It would be good to see a play about where the main guy is now in 2007.

The writing is superb, as are both the acting, characterisation and direction. I hope that someone will see fit to repeat this fine comedy/drama soon.

Oh, and the final line is worthy of "Some Like It Hot".

Congratulations to all involved with the production.

In short, it's simply brilliant.
