Fortune teller Madam Zena assists The Police with a missing diamond, she later warns Rodway of another, impending theft.
Series six definitely had some real quality, and this is another really, really good episode. When the show has ventured into alternative stories, with matters of the occult etc, it hasn't always been successful, on occasion being a bit silly, this one however was great.
Really nicely written, there's a definite streak of cleverness to this one, it's the right balance if drama and hunour.
It's good to see an episode where Rodway is almost centre stage, too often he's just a bit part player.
Barbara Leake appeared on the show a few years prior to this, she was very good, she's terrific here though as Madam Zena, what a truly lovely character actress she was.
Is go so far as to say this was one of my favourite episodes from the show itself, 9/10.
