It's The Good Old Hockey Game...

Stompin' Tom Connors said it best in The Hockey Song.

A very funny episode full of belly laughs. Without a doubt one of the top episodes from the series. To people like yours truly that were born in Canada, you know almost everyone had a table hockey game.

Excellent episode.

Brent vs Karen For The Cup

A hilarious episode. Who knew Karen was an ace table hockey player? That sets up a challenge between Brent, who is known as the best in town, versus Karen. (A best of 8 series....lolol). Oooh the excitement. Hank films all of the action in the basement and he broadcasts the matches upstairs to an excitable audience. Who will prevail?

The b-plot might give you a few chuckles with Lacey attempting to get Emma to do something for the "community".

There are some real good belly laughs with the difference between Karen's training regimen and Brent's. Some excellent one liners throughout the episode.

For me, this would be one of the top episodes of the series.

Highly recommended.

Best Of Eight Series For The Championship

Best of eight for the crown of best table top hockey game champ of Dog River. A clash of the titans to be sure. (What if the series is 4-4)?

Not trying to spoil too much here but the undisputed champ of Dog River is none other than Brent. ...or his he? It turns out Karen is no slouch at this "great Canadian pastime". (Actually everyone I knew had a table top hockey game in the 70's & 80's). Video games likely took a chunk of the "table top hockey" popularity. People still play the game though, so it is relatable to many.

I enjoyed this episode. The championship takes place in the basement and Hank films the games while broadcasting it to the TV upstairs. A lot of fun.

The B-plot with Lacey and Emma is quite good as well.

An excellent episode. For me, one to the top from the series.
